JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Responsibilities
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Develop accurate and detailed 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures.
Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings in compliance with project standards.
Perform structural analysis and design calculations for steel components, connections, and assemblies.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, fabricators, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
Review and ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of project deliverables.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes to produce workable models and shop drawings.
Perform clash detection, model checks, and revisions as required.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (AISC, BS, EN, IS, or project-specific).
Participate in design reviews and provide engineering insights for constructability and optimization.
Support fabrication and construction teams with technical clarification and updates.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures (modeling, detailing, custom components, reports).
Experience with steel design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS) is an advantage.
Knowledge of steel detailing standards and fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in industrial plants, warehouses, commercial buildings, or infrastructure steel works.
Understanding of BIM workflows and coordination.
